We provide a rich learning environment with curricula that are developmentally appropriate to the specific ages in each classroom. We have a flexible daily routine that allows children to advance at their own pace. We strongly believe that learning happens through play. Learning and exploring are hands-on and are facilitated through interest areas. Our program is designed to enhance children’s development in the following areas: creativity, self-expression, decision-making, problem-solving, responsibility, independence, and reasoning. We encourage openness to that which is different from us, and the ability to work and play with others.
Creative Curriculum
In September 2016 we incorporated Creative Curriculum in all of our classrooms. Creative Curriculum supports teachers and caregivers as they create responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences for the youngest learners.
Teaching Strategies GOLD
In 2015 we introduced Teaching Strategies GOLD in our program as well, an exciting resource that supports effective teaching and children’s development and learning. Teaching Strategies GOLD was created so that teachers finally have an ongoing assessment tool that is user-friendly and inclusive of all children—one that enables teachers to increase the accuracy of their assessments while having more time to interact with children. Teaching Strategies GOLD is a seamless system for assessing children from birth through kindergarten. Extensive field tests have shown it to be both valid and reliable.
Extracurricular
We also offer Zumba, music, ice-skating, swimming and soccer lessons. Zumba, Music and Soccer classes take place on campus. Children travel to the ARC in Aspen for Ice-skating lessons and we are fortunate to have a community swimming pool within walking distance of our campus.
